The temptation with a barn this long is to chop it into bedrooms. We left it whole and put the sleeping accommodation in a new timber structure alongside, so the barn stays the thing you walk into.

The barn kept as one volume. All new accommodation sits outside its original envelope.

Repaired flint, lime and unfinished Douglas fir.

Movable throughout, so the space can be a dining room, a hall or empty.
Lighting & Atmosphere
Uplit to the trusses, which are the reason anyone kept the building.
