Four metres wide and five storeys tall. Rather than fight the proportion we made the stair generous at the expense of everything else, and the house reads as far larger than its floor area.

Scope Of Work
Architectural Planning
Floors kept where they were. Only the stair moved, and it moved to the front.
Interior Styling
Pale plaster and alder, chosen to bounce what little light the street gives.
Furniture Specification
Built in almost everywhere, because there is no room for anything freestanding.
Lighting & Atmosphere
A single roof light over the stair carries all five floors.
